This is the thirty-fourth issue of Exchanges, first published in Spring 2026. Article topics in this issue include: the 2020 Spanish television series Veneno and the 'trans bio-epic', two Critical Reflections on the growing academic practice of auto-ethnography, the sociolinguistic practices of naming children in Telugu-speaking Christian communities in India, an examination of biochar and its potential helps and harms for the environment and the 'more-than-human', and providing a 'decolonial framework' for tackling inequality in higher education. Additionally, the Editor-in-Chief’s editorial explains the recent announcement of an important impending change to Exchanges' editorial direction, alongside providing an overview of the issue’s contents with updates for contributing authors and forthcoming issue publishing plans.

Open Call for Papers: Future Issues

Exchanges maintains an open call for papers for all submissions to future regular editions of the journal throughout the year. The Editorial Board invites high-quality article submissions in any of our standard formats from researchers from all academic fields, especially those demonstrating elements of interdisciplinary or multi-disciplinary content. We especially value submissions from early career and post-graduate researchers.
