In this editorial for Volume 13, issue two, Exchanges' editor-in-chief provides information on the upcoming switch in editorial direction to an exclusively themed-issue model, including a rationale for the change and a general timeline for the phasing out of regular issues and unsolicited manuscript submissions. The editorial also provides a brief overview of the articles published in this issue, which include research on (auto)ethnography, decolonising practices in HE, a study on the impacts of biochar production, and an analysis of the 2020 Spanish television series Veneno. It also outlines the various ways in which individuals can contribute to the journal or engage with its wider social media presence.
